Fund a Book
FundaBook is committed to producing Islamic literature to support daʿwah efforts worldwide. While many of our projects focus on free distribution to provide authentic Islamic knowledge to Muslims and non-Muslims alike, we also undertake initiatives where books are sold to help fund daʿwah activities, such as our efforts in Bangladesh. Through these projects, we aim to leave behind a legacy of beneficial knowledge as an ongoing charity (sadaqah jāriyah) that contributes to spreading and sustaining the message of Islam.
Our Mission
Our mission is simple yet profound: to support the Muslims seeking authentic Islamic literature worldwide by providing authentic Islamic literature that fosters understanding, strengthens faith, and clarifies the truth. We aim to:
-
Publish works that adhere to the Qur’an and Sunnah according to the methodology of the Salaf.
-
Make these resources available in multiple languages, including English, French, Urdu, and more.
-
Reach individuals and communities worldwide, regardless of financial means.
Why Knowledge Matters
Allah, the Most High, says:
“Say, are those who know equal to those who do not know?”
— [Surah Az-Zumar (39:9)]
This verse emphasizes the value of knowledge in distinguishing truth from falsehood. Knowledge serves as the foundation of faith and practice, enabling us to worship Allah correctly and live a life pleasing to Him.
The Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“When a person dies, their deeds come to an end except for three: ongoing charity, beneficial knowledge, or a righteous child who prays for them.”
— [Sahih Muslim]
Supporting the publication of Islamic literature is a means of spreading beneficial knowledge, one of the most enduring forms of sadaqah (charity).
The most beloved people to Allah are those who are most beneficial to others, and the most beloved deed to Allah is to bring happiness to a Muslim, relieve them of a hardship, forgive their debt, or feed their hunger.
How Fund a Book Works
At FundaBook, transparency and accountability are at the core of our approach. We only request donations when books are fully prepared and ready for printing. This ensures that every contribution directly funds the production and distribution of authentic Islamic literature.
Here’s how your support helps:
Manuscript Preparation: Editors collaborate to ensure accuracy and clarity.
Printing: Donations cover the costs of high-quality production.
Distribution: Books are shipped to individuals, mosques, and communities worldwide.
Your donations directly result in tangible outcomes, ensuring maximum impact.
What We Publish
We focus on producing works that:
-
Explain Tawheed (monotheism) and its significance.
-
Guide readers in performing Salah (prayer) and other acts of worship.
-
Clarify misconceptions and refute innovations in the religion.
Every book is carefully selected to ensure it aligns with the authentic teachings of Islam, providing readers with clear and actionable knowledge.
The Power of Your Support
The rewards of spreading knowledge are immense. The Prophet (peace and blessings be upon him) said:
“Whoever directs someone to a good deed will have the same reward as the one who does it.”
— [Sahih Muslim]
When you support Fund a Book, you share in the rewards of every prayer, act of worship, and moment of guidance facilitated by the books we publish. Allah also promises:
“The example of those who spend their wealth in the way of Allah is like a seed [of grain] that sprouts seven ears, and in each ear is a hundred grains. And Allah multiplies for whom He wills.”
— [Surah Al-Baqarah (2:261)]
Your charity not only spreads knowledge but by way of it we pray that Allāh, The Most Generous will increase you in blessings in your wealth and life.
